Western Oklahoma State College Rodeo Finds Success at Southeastern Oklahoma State University Rodeo

The Western Oklahoma State College Rodeo team made a strong showing at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Rodeo held September 25–27. Several athletes posted standout performances across multiple events, keeping the Pioneers competitive in a talented field.

Long Round Results
Riley Moore kicked things off with an impressive 2.7-second run in slack, tying for 2nd place in calf roping to start the weekend on a high note. Momentum continued with big rides and roping runs from the team. Trey Knight posted a 4.9-second run in steer wrestling, while team roping duos Tripp Lee and Joel Evans (8.6) and Dace Morris (8.7) both turned in solid times.

In calf roping, Brana Thomson put together a 3.2-second run, while in team roping, Dexton Hoelting scored an 8.0.

The highlight of the day came from Braxton Foster and Wesson Parker, who roped their steer in 6.5 seconds—good enough for 2nd place in the long round. Their run secured a spot in the short round.

Short Round Results
Western's weekend ended on a high note as Riley Moore and Trey Knight battled through to the short round. Moore split 2nd in the short round, earning a 4th place finish in the average. Knight capped off his efforts with a 6th place finish in the average.

Looking Ahead
The Pioneers continue to show grit and consistency early in the season, and with multiple athletes advancing to the short rounds, Western Oklahoma State College Rodeo is proving they'll be a team to watch throughout the year.
