Two team members delivered standout performances at the Citrus Fiesta Open Skeet Tournament, held recently in South Texas, earning multiple podium finishes across several competitive divisions.
Jaeden Saavedra posted an impressive showing in both Doubles and 12 Gauge events. In Doubles competition, Saavedra claimed the C Class Championship, earned the Triple Sub Championship, and finished as the Collegiate Champion. Continuing that momentum in the 12 Gauge event, Saavedra secured third place overall, while once again capturing Triple Sub Champion and Collegiate Champion honors.
Rene Montoya also had a strong tournament performance, collecting multiple top finishes. In Doubles, Montoya earned the D Class Championship, finished as the Triple Sub Runner-Up, and placed Collegiate Runner-Up. Montoya followed up with another podium performance in the 12 Gauge event, winning the E Class Championship and finishing as Runner-Up in both the Triple Sub and Collegiate divisions.
The success of Saavedra and Montoya at the Citrus Fiesta Open highlights the team's depth and competitive consistency, as both athletes competed against a strong field of shooters from across the region. Their performances reflect continued growth and dedication as the season progresses.
