Western Oklahoma State College proudly celebrated Homecoming 2026 on February 9, as alumni, students, and fans gathered inside the Western Gymnasium to honor school spirit and recognize outstanding student-athletes during the men's and women's basketball games. The evening highlighted the strong connection between athletics, campus organizations, and the Pioneer community.

This year's Homecoming Court featured representatives from a variety of sports, showcasing the diverse talent and leadership across campus. Nominees included:

  • Alexander Palmer – Shooting Sports, representing Ag Ambassadors

  • Sienna Gristina – Rodeo, representing Ag Ambassadors

  • Colton Rother – Baseball, representing Baseball

  • Tazhia Watson – Basketball, representing Basketball

  • Ryo Nagahama – Basketball, representing Basketball

  • Abbygale Munoz – Cheerleading, representing Cheerleading

  • Kendal Garr – Rodeo, representing Collegiate Cattle Association

  • Victoria Serrano – Softball, representing Fellowship of Christian Athletes

  • Luke Barisic – Basketball, representing Hispanic Student Association

  • Aspen Bass – Rodeo, representing Nursing

  • Brana Thomson – Rodeo, representing Rodeo

  • Trey Knight – Rodeo, representing Rodeo

  • Caleb Stone – Shooting Sports, representing Shooting Sports

  • Emily Robertson – Shooting Sports, representing Shooting Sports

  • Kenzli Locke – Softball, representing Softball

Each nominee was recognized during a special on-court ceremony between games, where they were celebrated for their leadership, involvement, and contributions to campus life.

The highlight of the evening came with the crowning of Western's 2026 Homecoming King and Queen, Chandler Copeland and Aspyn Bass, who were selected by the student body to represent Pioneer pride and excellence. Their recognition marked a memorable moment in a night filled with celebration and school spirit.

The Homecoming festivities added to an exciting atmosphere surrounding both basketball games, with strong fan support energizing the Pioneer Field House throughout the evening. The event served as a reminder of the pride and tradition that continue to unite Western Oklahoma State College across generations.
