Western Men, Women Qualify for 2025-26 DI Basketball Region 2 Tournament
Both the Western Oklahoma State College men's and women's basketball teams have earned spots in the 2025-26 DI Basketball Region 2 Tournament, capping off strong regular seasons and giving Pioneer fans plenty to cheer about heading into postseason play.
On the women's side, Western finished conference play with a 10-6 record, securing the No. 4 seed in the tournament field. The Lady Pioneers put together a solid season in a competitive league and now head into postseason action with a chance to make a strong tournament run.
The Western men also punched their ticket to the Region 2 Tournament, finishing 6-10 in conference play and earning the No. 7 seed. With the postseason now underway, the Pioneers will look to build momentum and make the most of their opportunity on the regional stage.
All tournament games will be livestreamed free on Eastern Oklahoma State's MountaineerTV, which says broadcasts will include play-by-play and color commentary.
