Pioneers Shine at Garden City Rodeo with Strong Finishes Across the Board
The Western Oklahoma State College rodeo teams delivered an impressive performance this past weekend at Garden City Community College, highlighted by multiple top finishes and a championship win.
Leading the way for the Pioneers, Dexton Hoelting captured the championship in team roping, securing the top spot and continuing a strong season for Western in the event.
In the average standings, Trey Knight turned in an outstanding performance, clocking a 3.9-second run to earn a second-place finish, while Sadie Prather followed with a 3.1-second run to claim third place. Brana Thomson rounded out the top performances with a 3.8-second run, placing sixth overall.
The Pioneers showcased depth and consistency across events, continuing to build momentum as they approach the postseason. With multiple athletes placing in the top six, Western Oklahoma State College proved once again they are a force to be reckoned with in the region.
As the regular season winds down, the Pioneers will look to carry this momentum into the remainder of the season.
