Baseball Region 2 Tournament

Baseball Region 2 Tournament

The 2025-26 season comes to a close for Pioneer Baseball after an incredible postseason run and a 4th place finish in the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament.

The Pioneers entered the Region 2 Tournament in Enid as the #3 seed and immediately made a statement with a dominant 10-0 win over Southeast Arkansas in the opening round. Western then battled #2 South Arkansas in a tightly contested 3-2 game before fighting back in an elimination matchup with a huge 12-11 win over Redlands. The season ultimately came to an end against Murray State, one of the top teams in the region.

This team competed with toughness and heart all season long, finishing the year with one of the most explosive offenses in the region — totaling 527 runs, 636 hits, and 104 home runs as a team.

Throughout the season, the Pioneers saw standout performances from key players across the lineup while the pitching staff continued to battle through one of the toughest schedules in Region 2 baseball.

From opening day to postseason play at David Allen Memorial Ballpark, this group represented Western Oklahoma State College with grit, resilience, and pride every single day.
