Ryan Turner – Assistant Coach
Ryan Turner currently serves as the pitching coach at Western Oklahoma State College, a role he has held for the past four years.
Turner brings a strong background in both playing and coaching to the program. He began his collegiate career at McLennan Community College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree and was named All-Region Pitcher of the Year for the Highlanders. He then continued at Tarleton State University, earning Most Valuable Player and All-Conference Reliever honors while completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
A native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Turner was selected multiple times in the MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2007, 2008, 2011) and the Atlanta Braves (2010). Following his time in affiliated baseball, he continued his professional career with the Edinburg Roadrunners and Laredo Lemurs.
Turner began his coaching career at Dallas College Cedar Valley, working primarily with hitters, where he spent three seasons. He later served as an assistant coach at Ranger College for 4 seasons before joining Western Oklahoma State College.
