Western Oklahoma State College Head Cheer Coach Dominique “Nichole” Rodriguez is entering her sixth year coaching at the junior college level and her fourth year leading the Western cheer program. Known for her energetic leadership style and athlete-first approach, Rodriguez has built a reputation for developing well-rounded athletes both on and off the mat.
With more than 20 years of coaching experience in all-star cheerleading, Rodriguez has coached at multiple Texas gyms and junior college programs while also choreographing routines for high school, collegiate, and all-star teams. Her teams have consistently found success at regional and national competitions through a combination of strong technique, creativity, and performance excellence.
Under her leadership, the Western cheer program has reached new heights. Rodriguez guided the Pioneers to their first-ever appearances at NCA College Nationals, marking a historic achievement for the program. In the 2023–2024 season, Western earned a 5th-place finish nationally, followed by a Top 3 finish in 2024–2025. Continuing the program’s upward momentum, the Pioneers also captured a 2nd-place finish in the Spirit Rally division during the 2025–2026 season.
Rodriguez is passionate about building strong, unified teams centered around skill development, accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Her commitment to creating a positive and competitive environment continues to elevate the Western cheer program while helping athletes grow as performers, teammates, and leaders.
